WHATEVER It Takes

WHATEVER It Takes

I have a fantasy. Something I think about. I imagine what it will be like. I imagine a group of people that love Jesus more than they love anything else. I think about what it would be like to have a large”family of families” that all love each other with a genuine, unconditional, pure love. I fantasize about this group of people being a blessing to their community; a blessing to the entire region. They meet needs. They feed the hungry. They pray for the sick, and the sick recover. These people are full of God’s Holy Spirit. They tell others the Good News about how much God loves them and even sent Jesus to rescue them by dying in their place. These people understand that they have been born for such a time as this. They are salt and light. It isn’t just a fantasy really. It’s more of a plan. And it isn’t my plan, it’s God’s. It is His plan for Centerbranch Church. It’s who we are. It’s who we are becoming. These past several weeks have been unusual in a number of ways. Our community, along with the rest of the world, is trying to navigate through events that nobody has ever had to deal with before. In the midst of craziness and chaos, God’s plan for you and me has not altered one bit. None of this has taken Him by surprise. 9 months ago, when we made the decision to move our church to the old Toys R Us, God knew this would all happen. We made that decision in faith. We trusted His leading then. We can trust that leading now. He still wants to use you and me and the rest of our church family to shake this region for His Kingdom. I love this verse from Isaiah 62. “Take no rest, all you who pray, and give God no rest until he establishes Jerusalem and makes her respected and admired throughout the earth.” (Is 62:7 TLB) We are invited to petition God in prayer until we reach our full potential and become the people He intends us to be. Would you join me in “giving God no rest”? Let’s reach our potential. Let’s take this next step more in love with Jesus than ever before. Let’s move to this new facility full of zeal and on fire for God. We were born and brought together for such a time as this. Let’s be who God designed us to be! Let’s do #whateverittakes! I love you and I thank God for you, Pastor Luke
